As you can probably tell by all of the handmade hoopla (tour poster and tour theme song) on our internet social networking webpages (myspaces, facebookings, and tweetmachines), we are gearing up for a very, very cold tour adventure…to be specific: MARCH INTO MARCH LIKE WE’RE ONLY HALF AS LONELY AS WE ARE- A FEBRUARY/MARCH TOUR ADVENTURE. I’m praying to Elliott that we don’t find black ice and die…please let me release a few more albums first, higher power(s)! From now until the tour kicks off, we will continue to work our freezing buns off prepare to fuck you guys up with the concert experience you won’t forget this winter season!

If you were given a chance to tour with any band, dead or alive, who would you choose to tour with?
Holy Shit, why would you even tease me with this question? Obviously, you opening up the “dead or” half of the question makes answering impossible. Obvious answer: THE BEATLES; however, i would ideally tour with them post Abbey Road (to see “Oh Darling” live) and they had stopped touring by this point, so my final “dead” answer is: ELLIOTT SMITH. I could write a book on why I believe Elliott and I were destined to be friends, so a tour would be a perfect chance to work my charm and befriend this genius. As far as living bands, that is easy: WE WANT TO TOUR WITH THE FLAMING LIPS EVERYDAY FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES!

i am sorry it has been so long since the last update from me (almost a month, rumor has it). i surely hope you haven’t lost too much sleep over my absence! not to worry: i haven’t yet died, i have just been keeping extremely busy- recording myself singing about dying; but, like all good rashes and migraine headaches: i’m baaaack!

TOUR SONG AND TOUR POSTER TO BE REVEALED ON OUR MYSPACE ON FEBRUARY 1st, but until then here is some words and a video preview of the tour song recording sessions:

we have been up to our cat collars in tour to-dos and longs practices for the last month, gearing up for our next super fucking awesome tour, dubbed:

as of right now, there are at least one week-ish worth of dates already confirmed and posted on our myspace main page. if you don’t see your city included yet, send us a bitchy comment about it and then help us get something set up in your town! we would love to play for you, but we can only go so far by ourselves- help us out with booking and, in return, we will kill you with cool music. for the cities we ARE visiting, however- holy shit to you, lads and lass. i suggest you complete your bucket lists before our concert, as i most certainly plan on having you leave the show dead. on a scale out of four party hats (four being the best), i already give our rehearsals for this tour FIVE FUCKING PARTY HATS! i love all of our plans, and i can’t wait to share with you- my few friends who are daring enough to come party with us!

for all of you wondering “WHERE IN FUCKS SORE NAME IS THAT ‘Fish & Dishes’ MUSIC VIDEO I WAS PROMISED A YEAR AGO?”. well, here is what’s happening on that side of town:

last year, jesse ledoux drew his four little monsters to-be-animated for our first Cat Heaven music video, which are acts of terror in terms of brilliance; meanwhile, we filmed the live/performance portions of the video with two local guys. these two guys eventually became the two dudes that we hired to animate jesse ledoux’s artwork for the video, as they have decent animation experience and offered us a fantastic price compared to any other options. success! with the video out of our hands, time flew as we stayed busy with all other aspects of band life. now, almost a year after we received the first designs from ledoux, we find ourselves at a standstill. our band is not satisfied with the animation as it stands right now, and the animators (as they are busy working on other film projects and real-life jobs, i might assume) refuse to move forward with anything without another payment from our broke, broke, broke band.

so here i sit: totally broke, a video long out of my hands, and a wish that life would just work out for once so i could watch myself violently headbang in a field to a weird song while ledoux-designed monsters dance around me. is that so wrong of me? yes? cool.

my point: we are not just lazy, nor did we lie about our video’s existence; the video just isn’t finished, because we refuse to release an inferior video or something uncool. you can’t make us! SOMEDAY, however, hopefully prior to my inevitably untimely death, you will find yourself headbanging along at home while you watch an all-too-long awaited “fish & dishes’ music video, and hopefully you will tweet at us: “JUST SAW THE VIDEO! WORTH THE WAIT” and make my day.

apparently our album streamed on the Hurley website for a week. i had no idea. that rules! somewhere inside me, my fourteen year old version of myself is wearing a blue hurley hat and weeping.
